Scoala noastra a incheiat cu mult succes (nu o spunem noi, ci partenerii nostri europenei) inca un proiect european, respectiv BOOKTRAILERS AND VIDEOSTORYTELLING. HOW TO TEACH AND LEARN READING APPRECIATIONS. Cititul chiar ca ne-a dat aripi. Am parafrazat un pic motto-ul proiectului nostru READING GIVES YOU WINGS.

A NEW CHALLANGE. FROM STORY TO OUR STORIES
In our latest activity the senior students (class VIII) which are involved in the project were challanged to make a salt. From READING TO WRITING. FROM A LECTURE MOMENT TO A THINKING MOMENT. FROM READING AND TEXT ANALYSE TO CREATIVITY. The workshop start with a number of words selected by the coordinate teacher phd. Robert Dobrescu the the main theme of Vlad Tepes life and Drakula Legend. Words like "dark", "spire", "fear", "fire", "time", "night". "door", "moon" and some of them. The next moment of the workshop challanged the students to start writting a short novel which necessary must include the words which were selected by the teacher. And this step was limited at 30 minutes. In the first moment the students were stocked. In the second moment they start to write and the results were amazing. I will try to translate for you a little part of there work:
"The moon was shining, stronger like in other nights, the trees look like were alive, and the facts that only me and my shadow were on that empty street, at a very late hour, scares me. The dark clouds stopped the moonlight from time to time and in that moment the dark of the night covered the entire street, "
"the land is ruuning below me in the moments when I entering deeper and deeper in the cold and wet forest. I fobbid to myself to look back...I can see them tracking me and I was panic harde, so hard so I feeld me making a strange contact with the forest, maybe I just believe that was a little safer for me".
"in front of me I see a person which was the most scary imagine I ever saw. Very tall, dressed with a white silk shirt and on his shoulder a large black cloak. His hair were long and block, sharp black eyes .His face was pale, a black mustache and turned up and a prominent chin. Had an expression of a bizarre sadness that immediately changed into a frightening expression".
The efforts for finishing the novels are in evolution and we hope that at the end maybe we will have something to publish.

AFTER PLYMOUTH AND BEFORE THE CARNIVAL OF CHARACTERS
Our team come back from the Plymouth Film Festiva with a very nice 3rd place trophy, a wellcome distinction which appreciate the efforts maded by our students. The prize was granted for the booktrailer "Memories from the Childhood age".
During last weeks other students work hardly to know more about the Vlad Tepes age and about the way this lfe of this famous brave king become a source for the Legend of Drakula. Our students read about Vlad Tepes and they understood that his legendary cruelity was occured by the necessity to eradicate the liars, thiefs and traitors. After 2 years of his rule time in the Valachia Kingdom (old name of South Romania) no one dare to steal. The legends says that if anybody put a bag with gold coins iin the middle of a road, after 2-3 days the bag were still in that place. Tepes was a hard enemy for the Ottoman Empire and for the local traitor barons. But the stories which start to transform him into an evil vampire were spreaded by the saxon commerciants form Brasov, which were angry on Vlad because they were forced to pay big taxes when they were crossing the Vallachian teritorry..The saxons spread in the Central Europe the tweested facts, transforming the bravery in cruelty and the justiffied penalties in pure tyrany. In the same time in many kingdoms of Europe some scientists were burned on fire for their ideas....One thing is close to the truth: the name Drakula is generated by the historical fact of membersship in the knightly Order of Dragons (Drakon in latin language). From Dracon to Drakula was just a step.

READY FOR PLYMOUTH - OUR MOVIES ARE UPLOADED
During december and january even the winter was very hard in Romania, we read, travel and participate to a lot of workshops connected to our Booktrailers Erasmus+ project.Like in previous year our student groups were concentrated on two main directions - the folkloric tales and the local horizon - our city Bucharest. In the study of Bucharest the main theme was THE LEGEND OF DAMBOVITSA RIVER - main water axe of the romanian capital city. Even is not such a large river like Senne, Danube or Thames, our dear Dambovtsa has one of the most beautiful legends of mankind. The Legend says that 600 year ago here, on the place of Bucharrest, was a big forest and in this forest lived a young and beautiful girl along with her father. Dambovitsa was the name of the girl and after a lot of events she transform herself ina river ...a river which passed a village named after her fiance - Bucur... Bucur was a sheperd which have his farm in the middle of the forest. Bucur esablished a villagge named until today Bucur-esti.. Which is meaning "the village of the Bucur family".. Our kids loved this legend. They read it, they analyse the evolution of the river since the beginning of the Bucharest when the water eas pure and sweet like the polar ice...until today when our river is severely pollute. During the differents lectures connected to Dambovitsa our students learn that the water supply was a problem is a problem and will be a problem. So we have to take care about the water reserves, about the quality of water, about to reduciee all the pollution sources. After the reading workshops our students play the roles of their legendary heroes...Dambovitsa was in the center of all wishes so we have to offer a different scene to all the girls...For Bucur role was no possible to be a competition because one of the boys was perfect fit for.. Just like he went down down from legend and took part to pur play. When the students don't read or did not repeat for the acting they had to create houses, palaces, bridges and the landscape of Dambovitsa valley. They cut and paint, use the scissors and glue, textils, wood and polyester. Everything went perfect and they had a lot of fun. After months of creation and reading on 20 january entire movie was finished and uploaded .HI !!
Plymouth - we send you greetings from Bucharest .
