AFTER PLYMOUTH AND BEFORE THE CARNIVAL OF CHARACTERS

Our team come back from the Plymouth Film Festiva with a very nice 3rd place trophy, a wellcome distinction which appreciate the efforts maded by our students. The prize was granted for the booktrailer "Memories from the Childhood age".
During last weeks other students work hardly to know more about the Vlad Tepes age and about the way this lfe of this famous brave king become a source for the Legend of Drakula. Our students read about Vlad Tepes and they understood that his legendary cruelity was  occured by the necessity to eradicate the liars, thiefs and traitors. After 2 years of his rule time in the Valachia Kingdom (old name of South Romania) no one dare to steal. The legends says that if anybody put a bag with gold coins iin the middle of a road, after 2-3 days the bag were still in that place. Tepes was a hard enemy for the Ottoman Empire and for the local traitor barons. But the stories which start to transform him into an evil vampire were spreaded by the saxon commerciants form Brasov, which were angry on Vlad because they were forced to pay big taxes when they were crossing the Vallachian teritorry..The saxons spread in the Central Europe the tweested facts, transforming the bravery in cruelty and the justiffied penalties in pure tyrany. In the same time in many kingdoms of Europe some scientists were burned on fire for their ideas....One thing is close to the truth: the name Drakula is generated by the historical fact of membersship in the knightly Order of Dragons (Drakon in latin language). From Dracon to Drakula was just a step.
